RULES
Skyboo is a game that owes much of its worldwide appeal to the fact that it should be played not only within its laws but also within the spirit of the game. Any action which is seen to abuse this spirit causes injury to the game itself. The major responsibility for ensuring the spirit of fair play on the field of play rests with the captains and managers.
1.Skyboo Field
S kyboo field is Divided into nine areas, the official field dimensions are L:100-150m by W:50-70m, taking up an area of about 5000m2 – 10,500m2.
2.Goal post dimensions
Goal post dimensions are 14-18 feet high with the top of the post scoring two points compared to one point anywhere else.
3.Number of players
Only 9-12 players may be part of any team at one time with mutual agreements.
4.Ball contact with body parts
Skyboo ball can be manoeuvred with any part of the body except for the hands. If a player is inside the Dee area (semi circle area around each goal post) they cannot kick the ball at the goal post to score, they can use head or other part of body to get points or they may only use the foot to pass the ball to other player that he can kick to ball from out side dee and hit the goal post and get points.
5.Goalie or GloveMan
The only player on each team wearing gloves that can touch the ball with their hands but can not hold the ball.
6.Game Duration
A game will consist of two half each of 35-minute periods, another 35-minute period added in case of a tie at the end of the 1 game and 1game periods; players will need to win 2/3 games in order to be granted the victory.
7.Ball Size
Skyboo ball differs in size and weight from other sport balls bigger then soccer balls
8.Legal point scoring
In order for one to score a legal point, the ball must hit the goal post and bounce back as opposed to the ball grazing the post and continuing forward which is not considered a legal point.
9.Penalty kick
In cases of any rough housing and fouling, the opposing player will be granted a penalty kick.If the ball is handled illegally (i.e. by hand ), a penalty will be granted to the opposing team at the area where the illegal handling.
10.Direct kick
Direct kick or throw can not make points from out side the line .The ball must touch another player inside the ground.
11.Corner kick
On the corner kick only 1 player allowed on each team and 1 player allowed to kick the ball and the rest of the players should stay in side the line
